Charlie Twitch
Charlie Twitch is a songwriter, game developer, and artist based in Montreal, Quebec. Their work focuses on the intersections of mental-illness, identity, and magicks.
They write music and perform as ¡FLIST!, an experimental dance project consisting of performed and pre-recorded elements. 2014 saw the release of their debut album Fuck You Im Dead.
¡FLIST! has performed for Suoni Per Il Popolo, Pop Montreal, M for Montreal, NXNE, and Quebec OFF.
Live performances have previously included interpretation by Frances Adair McKenzie, Hua Li, Keith Odell, Vergil Sharkya, Marc-Andre Roy, and Nick Schofield.
As a composer Twitch has worked with filmmakers and game developers including Olivier Bonenfant, Omar Elhamy, and their partner and long-time collaborator Kaja Levy. Their works have been exhibited with the CEC, Film Pop, Objet Sonore, Fantasia, and Kino.
In 2007 they founded Art Not Love Records, a label dedicated to non-genre normative art and music. Currently Art Not Love operates in a limited capacity with new releases limited to personal works.
Between 2008 and 2010, they edited and published Fatigue Magazine, a submission based independant art magazine that featured artists from across Canada.
